Mark Scaparro
Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Identification Solutions (IDS)Mark Scaparro is senior vice president, Sales and Marketing, for HID Global’s Identification Solutions (IDS) business segment. As an industry veteran, Mr. Scaparro has more that 25 years of experience in developing high performance teams while shaping effective new business models and strategies to maximize customer value. In his new role, he is responsible for the development of strategies related to IDS, its market segments, channels, customers, use applications and solution offerings.
Since joining the company in 2001, Mr. Scaparro has held several executive positions within the company, most recently serving as executive vice president of Market Strategies, where he was responsible for consolidating and leveraging the product marketing team for physical and logical access control, secure identity, controllers and identity on cards. Other positions he has held within HID Global include executive vice president, Worldwide Sales and Strategy, as well as managing director for the Americas.
Prior to joining HID Global, Mr. Scaparro held the position of vice president of Sales and Marketing for Pinkerton, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, which was acquired by Securitas Group in 1999. Before that, he held several increasingly important positions within API Security, Inc., including vice president, Sales and Marketing, and regional director, Sales and Marketing for the West Coast prior to the company’s acquisition by Modern Alarm and then ADT.
Mr. Scaparro holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and double minors in Accounting and Marketing from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif.
René Van Ryt
Vice President, Cashless Payment
René Van Ryt is vice president, Cashless Payment, for HID Global. With more than 20 years of professional experience in security, RFID technology and smart card applications, Mr. Van Ryt is responsible for developing and managing business in the area of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC), contactless payment and loyalty and vending.
Since joining the company in 2003, Mr. Van Ryt has held several increasingly responsible positions within the organization, most recently serving as director of sales, Financial Transactions. Prior to joining HID Global, Mr. Van Ryt held several key management positions within Johnson Controls, including director of sales for the Netherlands and division manager for Security Solutions, as well as having served as the U.K. sales director for IE Keyprocessor. A graduate of the University of Amsterdam,he holds a degree in engineering.
Marie-Françoise Glotz
Vice President, Food and Animal ID, Industry and LogisticsMarie-Françoise Glotz is vice president, Food and Animal ID, Industry and Logistics, Identification Solutions (IDS) for HID Global. Having joined the company more than 11 years ago, Ms. Glotz has held several key positions within HID and the former ITG companies, including working the last seven years in senior management within the industrial, food and animal identification segments. In her new role, she is responsible for developing sales and marketing, as well as establishing vertical markets for her respective business segments.
Prior to joining HID, she worked within thermal transfer technology for Lowden Limited as the company director, where she was directly responsible for establishing targets and achieving business objectives. Before that, Ms. Glotz was the divisional manager for Nu-Kote International Limited, where she was charged with establishing new divisions and increasing revenue growth. She holds a Brevet de Techniciens Supérieur in International Sales and Marketing from the Institut Supérieur des Cadres et Techniciens, Groupe PIGIER, France, as well as a Small Business Certificate from the RSA Examination Board in the United Kingdom.
Manuel Villamayor
Vice President, e-GovernmentManuel Villamayor is vice president, eGovernment, Identification Solutions (IDS), for HID Global. With more than 10 years of experience in secure contactless technology and transponders, Mr. Villamayor oversees the worldwide market and sales strategy for inlays, prelaminates and readers, working closely with governments, state printers and system integrators around the globe to develop and implement ePassports and eDocuments programs, such as eNational IDs, eDriving License, eHealth cards and border crossing solutions.
Mr. Villamayor joined HID Global after holding several positions of increasing responsibility within the former Sokymat and ITG, which are now part of HID Global. Most recently, Mr. Villamayor served as the director of business development, eGovernment. In addition, he has also held several key management positions, including working in research and development for RFID products, as well as in regional sales and business development for Sokymat in Southern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. He also served as business segment director responsible for the market and product strategy for six business segments within ITG.
